Module Brief


You are required to produce a time based piece (between 80-240 seconds long), responding to the theme “Stillness/Memory”. Your work must feature audio, but this should not be a soundtrack. Your work must be contextually and critically engaged, and you must reflect upon choices made along the way, and why you have made them.

 Aims:

To extend knowledge of the theoretical and applied principles of photographic practice.


To enhance competencies in relation to expanded media, with a particular emphasis on digital, convergent and trans-media modes of dissemination.

To extend knowledge of the applied principles of photographic practice in respect to project development and realisation.
Developing an awareness and understanding of the relevance of critical texts to current photographic practice.


To Identify or respond to external production and / or dissemination opportunities associated with contemporary photographic practice and delivery models.




Knowledge and Understanding

1.     Identify an awareness of key debates associated with contemporary photographic practice and delivery models
2.     Demonstrate an ability to respond to the issues of photographic practice involved in the production, distribution and consumption of images through different modes
3.     Reflect and demonstrate interpretative skills for critical analysis in visual, written and oral forms
