Shooting Settings & Considerations.
Shutter speed: its the same as it is in photography but it cannot be slower than the frame rate.
Ideal shutter speed is 2x the frame rate.
eg/ 25fps use 1/50s
Aperture: controls exposure and depth of field focusing is more critical with shallow DOF.
ISO: controls exposure, high ISO increase noise, so use low ISO as you can.
Manual exposure is best for video!
Exposure, white balance, sharpening.
Exposure, white balance, sharpening.
Use live histogram
Pay some attention to picture style settings
Use custom white balance
Don't use RAW
Shooting Time & Storage
Typical 1080p data rate = 330mb per min
Max 12 minutes of recording time on a 4gb card
Video uses a lot of battery life.
Focusing
Better to use the manual focus when using a DSLR
Camera Motion
Consider panning, sliding, and its better to use a strong tripod.
Audio
It is better to use a plug in microphone as the the microphone on the camera picks up noise, from handling the camera while recording footage.
