During a tutorial with Matthew, I presented my ideas to the group. We talked about how I was going to approach the idea, for example, using myself or someone else to act out the tasks. We talked about what injury I would portray to show the struggle of the tasks. We talked about how I would shoot the moving images, and the different subjects I wanted to use.
The idea was brought up about other injuries that can after peoples lives and ability to carry out tasks. We spoke about the idea of talking to someone who has lost a limb, and how they carry out daily activities. At Salford we have a Prosthetics and Orthotics course, and I hoped to get in touch with the senior lectures about getting involved with them.
I wanted to film someone talking about their experiences, focusing on their memory of the injury, before the injury and how life has changed since the injury happened. I think this would make a great video, and would cover a personal story of someone who understands first hand how life changes after such an injury happens.
I was able to find a email for the senior lecturer John Head, and emailed him briefly talking about my idea and how I wanted to work with him and the course. After waiting a week, I called the number I was given with no answer. With time being a problem with waiting any longer, I felt it was best to leave this idea. I feel if I would have held on any longer, I could have struggled to produce anything at all. I am disappointed, but I need to carry on and look at other ideas.
